CareSource Bayou Health is a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind partnership in Texas created by CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) and Legacy, the largest Federally Qualified Health Center
(FQHC) in the state, serving nearly 200,000 community members (with greater than 80% Medicaid and charity care patients) in the Harris and Jefferson Service Areas. Leveraging CareSource's 30 years of national Medicaid managed care experience with Legacy's 40 years of experience living and working in the communities of Southeast Texas, we elevate the Member-Provider-Payor experience in a way that no other MCO can by bringing together the heart and mission of two respected nonprofits with national scale and resources.
Texas Covered is the largest event of its kind in Texas and brings together decision-makers from across the health care spectrum—from major health plans, providers and regulators, to legislators, journalists, academics and more.
