Dr. Susan C. Gilchrist is a board-certified cardiologist who received her M.D. at the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. She obtained her specialty training in Cardiology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Moving Analytics, she was Professor of Cardiology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and also served on the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Gilchrist is an expert in delivering cardiac rehabilitation, practicing preventative cardiology, and providing exercise prescriptions and improving cardiorespiratory fitness in high-risk populations. She has directed cardiac rehabilitation programs in traditional brick and mortar centers as well as through remote monitoring.
Dr. Gilchrist is a trained epidemiologist with extensive knowledge of clinical trial design for exercise training studies. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and has authored 3 books chapters on exercise and cardiorespiratory fitness.
Dr. Gilchrist has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences by leading cardiology organizations such as the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. She is a past member of the Editorial Board for Circulation and is an active member of the American Heart Association National Scientific Advisory board for Go Red for Women.
